Meet Jessica Clowers!

National Wholesale Supply is proud of our employees and the impact they have with our customers and vendors throughout our organization. This month’s Employee Spotlight is shining on Jessica Clowers.

Jessica is the Operations Manager at our Mansfield, TX Branch and has been with us for just under one year. She went to Martin High School in Arlington, TX and graduated with an Agricultural Degree from Tarleton State University in 2015 where she met her husband, Jarred. Jessica and Jarred have two rambunctious little boys; Lane who is 5 and heading to kindergarten and Evan who is 1-1/2 and quite the handful. Jessica enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and their favorite activities are hunting, fishing, and camping.

We sat down with Jessica and wanted to get her perspective on what it is like to be a new employee at National Wholesale Supply and to find out how her career is progressing so far.

How did you find out about NWS and what factors led you to join the organization?

I found out about National from a previous co-worker who is now also an employee at National. I learned that it was a growing company in a thriving industry and sounded like a great opportunity for my personal growth. Work/Life balance and family time are important to me, and I felt comfortable with National’s approach to making it work for the employee. My role keeps me focused and I am challenged every day to get better and improve.

What was your biggest fear about switching industries and what has been your largest surprise since joining NWS?

I pride myself on Customer Service and was concerned that I wouldn’t know enough to really help our customers. I’m getting more comfortable everyday and am learning what questions to ask and am constantly picking up new vernacular. I have been surprised at how fast we are growing at our branch. It seems that we are adding deliveries and customers consistently and our orders have dramatically increased during my time at the Mansfield Branch.

What opportunities lie ahead for you at NWS?

I love working in operations. I am excited to see how much I can improve in my current role and am focused on excelling to a point where I add great value to the team and organization. I know that if I continue to learn and improve, then I will be able to take advantage of any new opportunities that may present themselves to me.

What would you say to a prospective candidate who is considering joining our team at NWS?

If you are a hard worker, then we would love to have you! The company displays great teamwork and we have fantastic customers. Everyone is willing to share their experiences and help teach you the best practices to grow and improve.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

I am thankful for the words of encouragement from my coworkers at the Branch and throughout the company. The entire organization has been supportive of me and my new role and I’m glad to be able to share material throughout the company to make sure we take care of all our customers.

Clearly Jessica has enjoyed her time at National Wholesale Supply so far and we are grateful that she is helping us to become the best distributor that we can be. Her Branch Manager, Shawn Nicolle,  said that “Jessica is one of the hardest working, eager to learn, and dedicated individuals I’ve ever worked with. In her new role, she allows me to feel comfortable that things are being taken care of even if I’m not here at the branch.”

We wish Jessica continued success at National Wholesale Supply and are pleased that she has found a home within our organization.
